Zūm For You

Zūm is proud to provide Schools with safe, reliable transportation provided by our dedicated drivers and monitors.

We are grateful for the commitment our drivers and monitors show every day to students and families in the community.

THE ZUM DIFFERENCE

We respect and support our drivers and monitors. Zum drivers earn extremely competitive wages – approximately twice the state minimum wage – along with exceptional benefits and career growth opportunities. This competitive package has made Zum the nation’s leading school transportation provider and has allowed us to attract and hire thousands of drivers and monitors who want to be part of our team. These new drivers and monitors are coming to Zum for a reason — they like the way Zum treats them, and know that they are valued.

TESTIMONIALS

I love driving and being out on the road, rather than being stuck in the office. It feels like you’re your own boss. Going through the Zum training program to become a certified school bus driver prepared me very well for the job. I think joining Zum is a smart choice and a rewarding, stable future — not just a job, but a career.

Mark C.

“I love driving, I love being around kids and trying to make a difference in their lives every chance I get. … I know that I’m not just a number here at Zum, and that means a lot.”

Connie M.

“I really felt supported through the whole process. I don’t know that I would have been able to go through with it if it hadn’t been for the amazing staff and the instruction that I received with Zum.”

“I’ll get to hold my first grandchild,” she says excitedly.

For This Zum Driver and Trainer, Special Needs Children Have ‘A Special Place in My Heart’

Gina Contreras spends most of her time behind the wheel: In the mornings, the Santa Barbara, CA-based Zūm school bus driver and trainer transports children to school. Later, she might take a class on a field trip. After the school day ends, she drives them back home.

So, when the weekend rolls around, what does Contreras like to do?

“It’s funny, but me and my husband go for drives,” she says.
